It may seem funny if I'd say that people will soon neglect their iPhones in favor of some watches, rings, eyeglasses or bracelets but then probably about 10 years ago it seemed funny to think that people would use their smartphones to email, surf online, play games (not snake only, btw I still have that on my iPhone, that game will always be in my heart <3), watch videos, keep calendars and take notes — all at once doing tasks of desktop PCs.
We can already see how wearable devices might peel off some of the phone’s key functions: "One study of smartphone users indicates that on average we unlock our gadgets more than 100 times a day, with some of us pawing at screens far more often than that. Internet analyst Mary Meeker estimates that as many as two-thirds of those uses could be handled with a wearable device."
Wearable devices, technology that people will want to display on their bodies, for all to see, represent a new threshold in aesthetics. Fashion brands like Opening Ceremony, Jimmy Choo and Ralph Lauren have already made their moves into this future fashion..but what's next?

INTERLACED is a new creative platform that brings wearable technology to people so that we are kept aware of it, and most importantly so that we start to see a real use of these devices in our everyday lives. While wearable clothing is most of the time only a "on stage/catwalk thing" and seeming “sci-fi” to many, wearable fashion devices like jewellwery have made a strong entry into the wearable tech market, which I feel is where it will first break out strong amongst the public. And this is exactly what INTERLACED is all about -> educating and inspiring us about all the happenings in the world of fashion technology!
INTERLACED will be hosting its first event on 3rd September this year in London (The Boiler House) and you are all invited guys! I’m so honored to be part of the INTERLACED (as one of their ambassadors :P) and I want YOU to join me on this journey :)
