suede VINTAGE

Suede is made from a type of leather with napped finish. The material comes from the underside of the skin of an animal, primarily a lamb, but goats, cows, and deer are also used (poor babies :((( ). This means that the fabric tends to be softer, thinner, and more kind of flexible than the standard leather.

Suede is a big spring trend! Designers like Phillip Lim, Givenchy, Saint Laurent or Gucci have used suede for their catwalk looks and we can see the trend hitting the high street now as well. Suede jackets, co-ords, skirts, bags, shoes, accessories or just some kind of patchworks on the clothing..

Suede is warm but not as much as a wool coat. It is an easy cover up and it's not as harsh as a leather jacket. It can't get really wet so it's quite handy during London's spring when the rain can surprise you literally any minute.. On the other hand, it can be a bit expensive when new, but hey..there are so many vintage and second shops out there so let's go on the hunt! I got mine from a second hand shop in Slovakia and it cost me only 5 euros, what a bargain!
