TRAFALGAR square
Every one heard about it, every one who comes to London takes pictures here but do we know why? Is it just a perfect place for a good shot? Well, to be honest it really is just a tourist attraction lol :P. It is owned by the Queen in Right of the Crown and managed by the Greater London Authority, while Westminster City Council owns the roads around the square. Built in 1805 and the original name was to have been "King William the Fourth's Square", but George Ledwell Taylor suggested the name "Trafalgar Square". In 1820s the area was redeveloped and in 1845 it got the present architecture. Now, it is a lively place often used for a wide range of activities including some special events and celebrations, for example St Patrick's Day,
Pride, Eid and Chinese New Year.
